The Rotary District 7500 Gift of Life Foundation
Mission
|
The mission of Rotary District 7500 Gift of Life Foundation is to provide free medical services to children in third world nations suffering from congenital heart defects, regardless of age, race, gender, creed or national origin, who without our help would certainly die,.
Why do we do this? Because 93% of the world’s population do not have access to a trained cardiac thoracic surgeon, nor a hospital that can perform the surgery. Most of the children affected simply will have no opportunity to live a full and happy life.
When was the last time you were part of a miracle?
It isn’t every day that we get to do something amazing, nor do we get to personally save the life of a child, but Rotary District 7500 Gift of Life does and YOU are a part of that miracle.
360 children and counting!
All of our children are precious to us. They undertake one of the most challenging and life changing periods of their lives when they travel from diverse parts of the world to be operated on at one of our partnering hospitals for the minimal fee of $5000.00. On average, a pediatric cardiology surgical procedure at one of these hospitals cost from $100,000.00 to $400,000.00, depending on the complexity and child’s length of stay.
We are proud to have our children accepted at the world class facilities of:
Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
St. Christopher’s Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia
Newark Beth Israel
Robert Wood Johnson Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital
